The Nokia N8 mobile’s battery is screwed and cannot be replaced without the use of screw driver. Unlike other mobiles in which you can easily remove and replace the battery of mobile phone, the Nokia N8′s battery needs opening of Nokia N8 mobile with screw driver, replacing the battery and the closing up the screws again.
Nokia N8 is a costly mobile phone and in case you are not comfortable with screw drivers, it might be a good idea to catch a mobile technician to replace the battery. The author has not performed battery tests to see the battery life, but taking into consideration Nokia’s powered packed mobile phone, the Nokia guys must have done appropriate tests and the battery of Nokia N8 should perform upto the mark.
There can be many tips on how to maximize the life of Nokia N8′s mobile like powering off Bluetooth, GPRS, GPS or any other things that you do not need at most times and power them only as and when required. Nokia has done their bit in trying to save energy and making battery life longer. Automatic control of GPS is one such energy saving functionality which gets automatically switched off when you close the appropriate GPS application. FM transmitter also gets deactivated if there is no audio playing in your Nokia N8 mobile phone.
